Category: Let's talk
I've just returned from about a year's hiatus from the zone. <Okay, hold those cheers to a minimum back
there>.
I'm one of those folks who likes to look at older board topics. Well, I find that the evil lords that
rule us zoners have tried to thwart my efforts. <Yes, that's you cls>!
I wrote a post sometime ago bringing up some of my favorite board topics to that date.
Here's my attempt to let you know about that topic and to find out what you think, and what are some
topics you've enjoyed..
If you want to look at them, do a control enter on the links to open the topic in a new window, then do a control f4 when you are finished.

I've noticed that a few folks are going out to old board topics and reviving them. For newbies, that's a
good way to get to know your fellow zoners. For the oldies (yes, Becky, that means you), that's a good
way to reminisce.
In general, it's a time consuming activity, kind of like looking at a picture album of the zone.
So, I've put together a few of my favorite board topics, and hope you enjoy reading them as much as I did.
The first three have something to do with blindness: it's periles and pitfalls.
what do you like about not being able to see,
and
what is it like to see?
Finally, lest I forget our favorite topic here on the zone:
What is sexual activity like if you are blind
The next topic wins my award for the funniest topic ever posted here on the zone. For nine days last
September, a few of us were possessed by a topic that was put out there as a joke by a newbie, and it
caught fire.
Those Bastardly Cookie Makers! And, finally,
here's the board topic that I think was the most well fought debate here on the zone. I consider it to
be one of the most educational exchanges I've ever taken part in.
israel used cluster bombs in its war against lebanon.
Let us know what your favorite topic is.
Thanks,
Bob
The cookie one was definitely a classic.
Other than the jokes that have made me laugh, I can't think of any real favorites. Unlike you, Bob, I can read something and then let it go and don't whine about old topics being closed.
Hi Becky.
I'd rather take a position on a topic than simply recycle old jokes my kindergarten classmates thought were funny.
Bob
Bob, I find your posts interesting and, dare I say, educational. As well as entertaining. Just my thoughts.
that fuckin cookie one. was off. the. chain. lmao
Just read the cookie one--definitely funny. Thanks for reminding me Freedomlocks.
If I could add to it today, I'd mention animal cookies in a sixty-nine position, forgot that way back then.
Oh well, back to perusing LiebraLady's jokes on the joke board: "#666, still not funny. There's got to be one here somewhere."
Bob
Hello, interesting topic. I also like to look at old board topic, or even just looking at the boards in general. Save haven, and lets talk is interesting, although the boards are interesting in general. Can't think of any specific topic at the moment, smiles
You are right louisa there's sort of an art to finding good board topics.
The search feature has been a boon to boardaholics.
Bob
smiles. You are right there.
Another good way to look at board topics is to find a zoner you think might have written some good stuff, bring up their profile, and click on the link where it says how many board entries they have. It will give you a list of all board topics they have contributed to.
Hope this helps.
Bob
wwell, must I choose? there's a lot of things that are amusing on here, and a lot of good stuff too, as well as awful stuff. I love the game parlor word games are amusing, especially word association it's like the freudian slip game.
A while back, I decided to have a look at all the board topics, I've posted too. I found a few interesting ones and names of users that don't come on here any more. It was interesting to read.
